I hope some of your team has had a chance to play with another emulation product: the Odroid Go Advance. HardKernel has pretty much created an Open Hardware PSP which runs Ubuntu aarch64 by default. Its community continues to grow as does its features.
One of the nice features is under the Odroid Go Advance Carousel Menu, it has a "Configuration" section. Everything under the Configuration menu is listed from the Linux directory /opt/system.
What's wonderful is a user can place any script in there (as root) and it will automagically appear under "Configuration" in its Carousel Menu .
I have found this to be an in valuable feature. I can place custom scripts for my "modifications" to toggle custom Linux services on-off, getting more detailed status, launch optimizing scripts to improve performance, work with USB and I2C devices, and launching Ports (like Doom, eDuke32, ScummVM, EasyRPG, DOSBox with button bindings, Love, etc.)
Please consider enhancing the FunKey S Carousel Menu so it has a selection that reads from a designated directory. The directory doesn't have to be /opt/system. A to a ROMs sub-directory would likely be more practical to copy scripts over from Desktops.
Thanks in advance. Cheers. M.
